Moldovans who enter Ukraine will no longer self-isolate if they have COVID-19 test

The Moldovan citizens who will present the negative COVID-19 test after crossing Ukraine’s border will no longer be obliged to stay in quarantine for 14 days. The travel conditions in Ukraine were updated after the Ukrainian authorities extended the quarantine period until August 31, IPN reports.

Moldova’s Embassy in Kiev said the entrance and stay in Ukraine to Moldovans will be allowed on the presentation of the insurance policy that will serve as a guarantee for covering the costs related to the treatment of COVID-19. Ukraine can be transited by Moldovans in both directions without these being obliged to self-isolate for 14 days on the presentation of a proof that the transit will not last longer than two days. The bus ticket can serve as such a proof.

The drivers working on regular international bus passenger routes also do not have to self-isolate for 14 days.

The wearing of protective masks in public places and at work, maintaining of social distancing and observance of the individual protective measures in Ukraine are in effect.
