Head of the Association of Moldovans “Bastina” (“Native Land”) Alexandru Marchinski has told IPN that the Moldovan voters formed lines at the two polling places established in the Italian city Padova. “There are about 80 persons who are waiting impatiently to vote at one of the polling places. The number of voters at the other polling place is slightly lower,” he stated.
Alexandru Marchinski added that the Association “Bastina” helps with transport the Moldovan citizens who want to vote, but cannot reach the polling places.
More than 20,000 Moldovans voted at the polling places established abroad by 11:30am.
