Head of Parliament Andrian Candu asked for the Spanish authorities’ assistance in signing agreements on the social protection of the Moldovans in Spain. The subject was discussed at a meeting with the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain Ignacio Ybáñez, who is in Chisinau on a visit, IPN reports.
Andrian Candu voiced hope that a new stage will be established in the relations of cooperation between Moldova and Spain in different areas, especially at economic, social and cultural levels, and joint infrastructure-related projects will be implemented in the transport and energy sectors. Business missions will also be staged to attract Spanish investments to Moldova.
The Spanish official welcomed the European integration efforts of Moldova, saying that Spain will continue to support the country in the modernization and democratization processes.
