Moldovans in Canada put on “Cinderella”

The Moldovans who settled in Canada will perform the play “Cinderella” on December 21. The head of the Moldovan community in Quebec and spokeswoman for the Diaspora’s Coordination Council Ala Mindicanu has told Info-Prim Neo that the play involves more than 60 actors, including children. “The beloved Aliona Munteanu, who is well-known in Montreal as a film and theater actress, plays the part of Cinderella. Vitalie Reutski, who is a highly professional artist, is in charge of the sound and light,” said Ala Mindicanu. The play is produced by Irina Chirca, who heads the association “La vie en mouvement” and once danced in the company “Joc”. An evening party with Samta Claus will take place afterward, organized by Alina Nichita, director of the Educative Academy. During eight years, since 2003 until 2011, the number of Moldovans who received residency in Canada had increased almost fivefold.
