The Republic of Moldova was struck off the list of countries with an increased risk of infection with COVID-19 that is compiled by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Following the changes made on June 15, the persons who come from the Republic of Moldova can enter Ukraine without needing to quarantine (self-isolate), IPN reports.

Besides the Republic of Moldova, the “green zone” comprises another 127 states. The “red zone” continues to include such countries as Romania, Russia, Belarus, Canada, France, Poland, Georgia and the UK.

According to Moldova’s Embassy in Ukraine, the foreigners, including Moldovans, can enter Ukraine for transit purposes by presenting at border crossing points the insurance policy to cover the costs of an eventual treatment for COVID-19 or costs associated with quarantine. The given policy is to be issued by an insurance company of Ukraine or by a foreign insurer that has a representative office in Ukraine. The period of validity of the insurance policy must cover the period of stay in Ukraine.
