The Civic Movement “Voice of Diaspora” issued a press statement in which the Moldovans who settled abroad express their profound regret at the situation in the country and note that they feel betrayed and manipulated. “We are deeply concerned about the political situation in the country and are very disappointed with the economic and financial situation in Moldova and with the incoherent actions of the parties that assumed governance and that are now trying to change the direction to other interests and values,” reads the statement, quoted by IPN.

The signatories express their disagreement with the non-transparent policies of the ruling parties and plead for maintaining Moldova’s European course. “We are against games played behind the scenes as these run counter to the promises made by the parties in the election campaign. We are for the restoration of the Alliance for European Integration under the PLDM-PDM-PL format and we do not forget that you promised a government without Communists! We follow you not only during elections and we count now too, not only in election campaigns. We demand responsibility and coherence in the policies pursued by your parties,” says the statement.

The signatories also demand immediately elucidating the matters concerning Banca de Economii and the Chisinau Airport. “We demand investigating the depreciation of the national currency and identifying those to blame. We demand holding a permanent dialogue and consulting the general public when taking strategic decisions for Moldova. We want you to open schools, stadiums, hospitals and roads now too, not only in election campaigns. We are aware of the power we gave you in the November 30, 2014 elections and want to warn you that we will take into account only the actions and results before casting our votes in the next elections,” reads the statement.

The statement was signed by the members of the Civic Movement ”Voice of Diaspora”, who are settled in 11 countries of the world.
