Moldovans form lines at polling stations in Italy

Moldovan citizens in Italy came out in large numbers to vote in the runoff presidential election so that rows formed at polling stations in some of the cities, IPN reports.

For the runoff election, 60 polling stations were established in Italy. Electors can vote with a valid identity card; a provisional identity card or the passport of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova, including those with the period of validity expired.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Moldovans from all over the world are expected to vote at the polling stations opened in many countries. The voting process is already taking place in 173 polling stations abroad.

"We welcome the increased interest of voters who are abroad in today's election. Electoral officials manage the situation according to the regulations. Dear Moldovans from the diaspora, we are waiting for you at the polls. Every vote counts and contributes to our common future," noted the institution.
