The Moldovan citizens will be exempted from paying consular fees on long-stay visas for Poland from May 1, 2013, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.

No taxies will be levied for work visas, visas for family reintegration, studies and treatment. The Polish short-stay visas, including the Schengen visas, will continue to be issued by the Consular Section of the Polish Embassy in Chisinau with payment.

The Polish side’s intention to abolish the fees on long-stay visas for Moldovans was earlier announced by the cochairman of the Poland-Moldova Parliamentary Assembly Andrzej Halicki during a visit to Chisinau on March 11, 2013. This fact was confirmed by the Foreign Ministry of Poland.
