Moldovans consider country follows wrong path, poll

The Moldovans are pessimistic about the path followed by the country. Only 29% consider the direction is correct, while 60% said this is wrong, shows an opinion poll presented on February 7, IPN reports.

Some 28% of the respondents consider the laws in Moldova are good. Those who interacted with the legal system are more pessimistic: only 20% believe the laws are good, while 72% said the country follows a wrong course.

Some 77% of those polled think the politicians are corrupt. 76% said this about judges, 74% about prosecutors, 72% about police officers, 69% about doctors, 63% about public functionaries, while 38% about teachers.

Only 36% of the respondents agreed that the Moldovans are equal before the law, while 62% have an opposite opinion.

The church is trusted by 70% of those interviewed, the mass media by 34%, while the legal system by 16%. Some 14% of those surveyed trust the Government and Parliament. Among the respondents who interacted with the legal system in Moldova, only 8% trust the Government and only 7% trust Parliament.
