Half of the Moldovan citizens consider that Russia must be Moldova's strategic partner, 25% said this about the EU, while 9% about Romania, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Public Opinion Barometer conducted between November 16 and 30. About 63% of the respondents would vote for Moldova's accession to the EU if a referendum was held next Sunday. Over 18% are undecided, while 12.4% would vote against. If a referendum on the accession to NATO was held, 40.4% of those polled would vote against, while 22% in favor. About 59% of the population considers that the status of neutrality is the best solution for ensuring Moldova's security. Asked to assess Moldova's relations with Romania, Ukraine, Russia, the EU and the U.S., most of the respondents said they are good. The survey was commissioned by the Public Policy Institute and carried out by the Marketing and Polling Institute IMAS-INC Chisinau. It covered a sample of 1,118 persons older than 18. The margin of error is about 3%.
