The foreign citizens, including the Moldovans, will be able to enter Ukraine, including with the aim of transiting Ukraine, if they obey the epidemiological measures as of September 28. At border crossing points, they will have to mandatorily present a health insurance policy that will serve as a guarantee of the payment of costs associated with the treatment of COVID-19, IPN reports.

In a press release, Moldova’s Embassy in Ukraine says the health insurance policy for covering costs related to the treatment of COVID-19 or observation is to be issued by an insurance company of Ukraine or by a foreign insurance company with a representative office in Ukraine or with a partner (insurance company) in Ukraine. The validity of the insurance policy must cover the period of stay in Ukraine.

Also, the Moldovan citizens will have to present the negative test for COVID-19, through the PCR method, done at labs in Moldova within 48 hours of the entrance day, translated into a language of international circulation, preferably Russian or English.

The Moldovans who will not present the negative result of the COVID-19 test at border crossing points will be obliged to self-isolate at home for 14 days or will be placed in quarantine for 14 days. They will have to install the mobile phone application “Action at home”. In the period, they can do the COVID-19 test at Ukrainian labs, during 48 hours of the crossing of the border.

The Moldovans can transit Ukraine in both directions without self-isolating for 14 days if they present evidence of the fact that they will leave the country in at most two days, like the bus ticket or the plane ticket, and also the health insurance policy for paying costs associated with the treatment of COVID-19.
