The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova said the Moldovans can apply for Japanese visas at the Embassy of Japan in Chisinau as of August 7, 2017. A decision to this effect was taken by the Japanese authorities, IPN reports.
Until now the Moldovan citizens had to travel to the Embassy of Japan in Kyiv to get a visa. The Embassy of Japan in Chisinau is situated at 73/1 Stefan cel Mare Blvd, National Business Center, 5th floor.
To travel to Japan, the citizens of Moldova need short-term visas for a period of 15, 30 or 90 days. The longest period of stay in Japan is of 180 days during a calendar year.
