The Government of Romania provides 5,500 scholarships to Moldovans for the 2013-2014 academic year. This is by 500 scholarships more than the previous year, IPN reports, quoting the information published on the official website of the Ministry of Education of Romania.
As many as 1,500 scholarships are available for preuniversity education, while 3,300 scholarships for higher education, the bachelor’s degree. Another 550 scholarships are designed for master’s degree studies for holders of Romanian bachelor diplomas, 25 for resident studies, while 125 for doctoral studies.
The monthly scholarship provided by the Romanian state will represent the equivalent in lei of €65 for the bachelor’s degree, €75 for the master’s degree, and €85 for resident and doctoral studies. The scholars benefit from free medical assistance and lower transport fares.
Applications can be submitted from July 22 until August 3 to the Romanian Consulates in Cahul, Balti, and Chisinau.
