Moldovans are very active people who are eager for change for the benefit of their country, and this is true not only for Chisinau but for all the locations of the Republic of Moldova, thinks Ambassador Dirk Schuebel, Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova. During a program at the public radio channel, Dirk Schuebel pointed out that the Republic of Moldova is an European Country, but to bring it closer to the European Union, it should adopt the acquis communautaire which is in effect in all the EU countries. In this respect, the EU representative mentioned the judicial reform, which is expected to become a functional one. At the same time, the official added that the financial assistance for the Republic of Moldova increased significantly in recent years. From 2006 to 2012, the amount of financial assistance granted by the European Union increased 4 times. “This year, as well, we expect financial assistance for Moldova to amount to 100 million euros”, said Dirk Schuebel. The areas which need financial support are decided by the European Union together the Government of Moldova, which has the final say.
