The youngest among the elderly Moldovan poets, Nicolae Dabija, a honorific member of the Romanian Academy, the editor-in-chief of the weekly “Literatura si Arta”, the president of the Democratic Romanians Forum from Moldova, turns 60 on Tuesday, Info-Prim Neo reports. The author of over 30 books of poetry and journalistic prose, Nicolae Dabija made his debut in 1975, with the book “The Third Eye”, as a leader of generation. According to the academician Mihai Cimpoi, Nicolae Dabija writes poetry in a hymnal, elegiac and messianic key. The poet invented by the poem, as the writer says himself acted both in literature and in the public life. The main motives in his work are related to the destinies of the artist and of the homeland. The writer is deeply concerned with the quality of human feelings, combining the masterliness of tradition with the one of the innovation. On the occasion of the poet's anniversary, an exhibition is organized at the “Mihail Kogalniceanu” Romanian Literature Museum at 15.00
