Moldovan wrestlers make their debut at World Championship

The Moldovan athletes suffered defeats at the World Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship that started in Danish town of Herning on September 21, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the 55 kg class, Ivan Guidea was beaten by Belarus's Rizvan Gadzhiev.
Nicolai Ceban (96 kg) lost to Khetag Gazyumo from Azerbaijan in 1/8 finals and to Turkey's Serhat Balci in re-qualifiers.
Freestyle wrestlers Vladimir Gotisan (60 kg), Alexandru Burca (74 kg), Andrei Podsevalnicov (120 kg), Natalia Budu (51 kg) and Ludmila Cristea (59 kg) will enter the competition the next days, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In the Greco-Roman wrestling event, Moldova will be represented by Vladimir Zaporojan (66 kg), Andrian Mocanu (84 kg) and Anatolie Moldovan (96 kg).
The World Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship this year brought together more than 500 wrestlers from over 50 countries.
