Moldovan wrestlers compete at World Junior Championships

A new edition of the World Junior Wrestling Championships started in Slovakia. The Greco-Roman wrestlers entered the competition the first, IPN reports.

In the 72 kg weight class, Anatolie Popov scored a 8-0 victory against Poland’s Geworg Grigoryan, but was then defeated by Russia’s Magomed Yarbilov 0-6. In the 67 kg class, Valentin Petic was eliminated after he lost the first battle to Aliaksandr Liavonchuk of Belarus 0-2.

The women’s competition is the next in the program. Mariana Draguțan fights against Japan’s Yui Susaki in the 50 kg class, while Anastasia Nikita meets Debora Lawnitzak of Germany in the 59 kg class.
