Moldovan woman sells daughter in Ukraine for 60,000 hrivnas

The police in Ukraine arrested a 30-year-old woman from Moldova who sold her daughter aged nine for 60,000 hrivnas in Cernauti (Chernivsti), Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the website of the Ukrainian agency Interfax. The woman is from a village of Donduseni district. She was unemployed and stayed in Ukraine illegally. The police found the 60,000 hrivnas on the woman when she was arrested. The girl was taken to a children’s home. Her mother is held in a remand center in Cernauti. She was earlier convicted of theft.
