Moldovan wine products are popular within the Economy Week of the Republic of Moldova in Romania, which takes place on June 12-17 at the Exhibition Complex “Romexpo” in Bucharest, sources from IEC “Moldexpo” declared for Info-Prim Neo. The wine industry of Moldova is presented by the enterprises “Milestii Mici”, “Asconi”, “Cricova”, “Barza Alba”, “Migdal-P”, “Vitis Hancesti”, “Clasicvin-Industrial”, “Vinaria-Bostavan”, “Aroma”, “Vinaria Purcari”, “Vinuri Ialoveni”. According to the Romanian press, the neighbor country became an important market for the Moldovan wine, where 20% of imported wines are produced in Moldova. The number of wine bottles sold in the last year in Romania amounted to 4 million, and in the next year is planned an increase by 50%, because the wines are qualitative and cheap. The Romanian entrepreneurs show a special interest for the manufactures of the light industry, presented by the textile enterprises “Dana”, “Rada”, “Vasconi-Textil”,”Flautex”, “Iuvas”, and as well the footwear producing companies “Gabiny”, “Bujor-Prim”. Also the goods presented by “Floare Carpet”, “Confort”, “Viorica-Cosmetic”, “Tutun CTC” are solicited. The alimentary products are presented by notorious enterprises of the alimentary industry, like „Bucuria”, „Franzeluţa”, „Carmez”, „Basarabia-Nord”, „Floarea Soarelui”, „Orhei Vit”, „Natur Bravo”, „Alfa-Nistru”. The visitors have the chance to taste the Moldovan beverages and alimentary products. The industrial enterprises “Moldagrotehnica”, “Hidrotehnica” propose equipments, plant stocks, machines for different economic areas, and the plants „Articole din carton”, „Glass-Container Company”, the Glass plant from Chisinau, „Obal Metalplac”, „Moldcarton” present wraps. The innovations of the science field are promoted through scientific projects, implemented by the scientists of the Science Academy of Moldova. Within the Forum will function the”Contacts Market”, service which will stimulate bilateral meetings at different levels – decision-making authorities, scientists, economic agents of both countries. The goal of this event is to present the potential of Moldova on the Romanian market, strengthening bilateral relationships between Moldova and Romania and creating cooperation opportunities between the two states. The event includes three basic components: national exhibition “Moldova Presents”, a Business Forum and a cultural program. At the end of 2005, the total volume of the commercial trade of Romania with the Republic of Moldova constituted 411.2 million dollars. Of this sum, the export constituted 326 million dollars, the imports – 85.2 million dollars. The volume of bilateral trade increased by 46 %, of which the export by 59%, and the imports by 11% comparing to the same period of 2004. 2005 was the top year of the mutual commercial relationships between Moldova and Romania, including both total amount of trade and the export level.
