The Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Turkey agreed to mutually recognize the national COVID-19 vaccine certificates following agreements reached by the heads of the two diplomatic services during recent high-level contacts, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
The vaccinated citizens of the Republic of Moldova and persons with legal residence in the country when entering Turkey will be exempted from presenting the PCR test and will not be obliged to self-isolate if they present a national COVID-19 vaccine certificate issued by the responsible national authorities. The procedure applies to all the vaccines approved at the national level in the two countries.
Turkey is the fourth country, after Hungary, Ukraine and Georgia, with which the Republic of Moldova agreed to mutually recognize the national vaccine certificates.
Bulgaria, Spain and Montenegro also announced they will recognize the vaccine certificates issued by the Moldovan authorities, which comply with the standards of the World Health Organization.
