Moldovan tennis players win victories abroad

One of the best Moldovan tennis players, Maxim Dubarenko, qualified for the quarterfinals of the international Futures tournament “Selena Open”. The competition is taking place in the Ukrainian town of Cherkassy, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the 1/8 finals, Dubarenko, who was the fourth favorite of the competition, beat Ukraine’s Vladyslav Manafov 7-6, 6-2. He will compete for a place in the semifinals against Marat Devitiaro from Ukraine. In the doubles, Maxim Dubarenko together with Manafov qualified for the quarterfinals. Radu Albot qualified for the second round of the Futures tournament held in Turkey’s Antalya. His next opponent will be Japan’s Hiroki Kondo. Last year, Radu Albot won five tournaments held in Turkey and thus became the best ranked Moldovan tennis player in the worked hierarchy.
