As the previous years, Moldova will be represented by four teams in the qualifying competitions of the European cups. In the qualifying rounds of Champions League, Sheriff Tiraspol meets Montenegro’s champion Sutjeska the second consecutive year, IPN reports.
Last year, Sheriff eliminated Sutjeska by the general score of 6-1 (1-1 in Tiraspol and 5-0 in Montenegro). The first match will be again played in Tiraspol, on July 15. The return match will take place away in a week.
FC Tiraspol, Veris and Zimbru will also have acceptable opponents in the first qualifying round of Europa League.
FC Tiraspol plays Inter Baku (Azerbaijan), Veris - Litex (Bulgaria), while Zimbru - Shkendija (Macedonia). Only Veris plays the first match on its own field, at home, in Orhei. The encounters were scheduled for July 3 and July 10.
