Moldovan taekwondo players win eight medals at Balkan Games

Moldova’s representatives achieved remarkable results at the WTF taekwondo tournament (Olympic version) of the Balkan Games held in Bulgaria’s Dupnita. The Moldovan athletes won eight medals, three of which gold ones, IPN reports.

Golds were won by Sergei Uscov (juniors), Chiril Stepanenko and Sofia Andreeva (children). Dmitry Suleac, Marina Ungureanu, Silviu Catrinescu, Gleb Hancu and Dragos Marinescu medaled bronze.

The Balkan Games involved representatives of 13 countries from the Balkan region of Europe, which is rich in taekwondo traditions.
