Moldovan swimmers win 34 medals at Grand Prix in Bulgaria

Swimmer Constantin Malachi won five medals at the Grand Prix Burgas tournament held in Bulgaria. He won the 50m, 100n and 200m breaststroke races and also in the 4x50 mixed and 4x50 freestyle relay races, IPN reports.

Dan Siminel obtained three gold medals. Besides the 50m freestyle race, he also successfully competed in two relay races. A very good result before the World Championships was achieved by Tatiana Salcuțan. She won the 200m backstroke race with the result of 2.10.68.

Medals were also won by Maria Corlăteanu, Dinu Guțanu, Roman Savici, Arina Odinskaya, Natalia Zaitseva and Pavel Vorona. In total, Moldova obtained 14 golds, 9 silvers and 11 bronzes. The competition in Burgas involved about 400 swimmers from seven countries.
