Moldovan students win two medals and mention at International Olympiad in Informatics

The Olympic team of the Republic of Moldova won a silver medal, a bronze medal and an honorable mention at the International Olympiad in Informatics, held in the city of Alexandria, Egypt, from September 1 to 8, IPN reports, with reference to a press release of the Ministry of Education and Research.

The silver medal was clinched by Timur Degteari, a student of “Orizont” Theoretical High School in Durlești. Mihai Eșanu, a student of the same educational institution, won bronze, while the honorable mention was obtained by Marian Soltan,a  student of the Chisinau Theoretical High School “Aristotel”.

The 36th edition of the International Olympiad in Informatics involved 362 students from 91 countries, the Republic of Moldova being represented by four students and two teachers.
