Moldovan students win bronze at Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad

A team of students from Moldova has won five bronze medals at the 16th edition of the Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad. The event took place between June 25 and 29, in Veria, Greece, reports Info-Prim Neo.
Moldova’s team was made up of six students and two professors. According to Ministry of Education’s press service, all of the students who won the bronze medal are in the 8th grade, and represent different schools from the capital: Mihail Tarigraschi and Gleb Vizitiv (“Orizont” Lyceum), Vladlena Hornet (“L. Rebreanu” Lyceum), Catalina Mamaliga (“M. Viteazul” Lyceum) and Romina Dolgopol (“Gh. Asachi” Lyceum).
89 students, from 16 countries, competed in the Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad. Our neighbor Romania’s team won six medals: two gold and four silver.
