Thirty-six Moldovan students studying abroad will be awarded in the first Gala of Students Native of Moldova “Academic Excellence for Moldova” on January 4. The award ceremony will take place at the Palace of the Republic and will bring together students, graduates and invitees from the academic, public and business sectors, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué of the Bureau for Diaspora Relations, the awardees were selected from among over 200 candidates by a jury consisting of 11 persons from seven countries. The Gala of Students Native of Moldova is organized under the aegis of Moldova’s Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, on the initiative of the Association of Moldovan Students in France “Jeunes Moldaves”.
The project is financed by the State Chancellery of Moldova, through the Bureau for Diaspora Relations, and by the EU-funded project “Strengthening Migration Management in the Republic of Moldova”.
