This year, Moldovan students obtained 25 medals, 3 diplomas and 5 honorary mentions in international and regional contests, IPN learned from a press release of the Ministry of Education.
The students won a gold medal, two silver and 22 bronze, as well as two 1st places and a 2nd place at the International Russian Language Olympiad. The best results were achieved in mathematics, with 10 international and regional medals, followed by physics, ecology, informatics, chemistry and sciences.
Moldova's Olympic students participated in contests in 10 countries: Macedonia, Bulgaria, Holland, Turkey, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Russia, Vietnam, Taiwan and Argentina.
The students and their teachers will be awarded by the Ministry of Education during the Olympiad Winners' Gala 2014. Overall, the award fund is over 500,000 lei.
