A 30-year-old Moldovan was stabbed in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg. He died in the hospital several hours later. The local police are looking for the attacker, who also wounded a citizen of Uzbekistan aged 26, IPN reports.
According to “Ria Novosti” Agency, an unidentified person attacked the two migrants with a knife during a quarrel in Kupchino region of Saint Petersburg. The Moldovan was stabbed in the thorax and in the abdomen. The Uzbek citizen sustained minor injuries. |
The police started a criminal case. More than 300 crimes against migrants were committed in Saint Petersburg in the first half of 2013. This is by over 21% more compared with the corresponding period last year.
