The counselor of the director of “Moldovan railroads” (CFM), Anatol Tvetcov, told Info-Prim Neo that the Republic of Moldova is not in blockade from September 1, as previously claimed the Ukrainian State Administration of railroad transport „Ucrzaliznitsya”. The official categorized the statements of the Ukrainians as “a Transnistrian provocation”. “We cannot travel in this region as we do not control the railroads and therefore we cannot assure transport security”, Tvetcov claimed. On Friday, September 1, the Ukrainians have announced through a telegram the administration of CFM that on this date the bridge from 116 km of railroad track Moghiliov-Podolski-Ocnita will be seized due to the repairs that will be done daily between 12.00 and 19.00. According to Tvetcov, the telegram did not state what the exact time of completion of the reparations was. In this situation, the quoted source claims, passenger routes will not be affected, as there are no passenger routes for this time span, and the transport of merchandise will be rescheduled for morning. The CFM authority also stated that he doesn’t know whether this repair schedule will remain for the rest few days, this fact needs to be found from the Ukrainian authorities. The Press Service of the Ukrainian State Administration of railroad transport previously stated that starting September 1 the traffic on the railroad branch Moghiliov-Podolski-Ocnita will be seized due to repairs to the mentioned bridge. According to the quoted source, if no other traffic routes will be open, the transportation of passengers and merchandise from the Republic of Moldova will be completely stopped in September. The Ukrainians have also announced that they cannot organize transportation on another railroad branch of Cuciurgan (Ukraine) - Novosavitskaya (Moldova) that was blocked by the Transnistrians on March 4. The press release of „Ucrzaliznitsya”, quoted by Info-Prim Neo, also states that this problem should be solved at the government level between Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova.
