Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision refused to authorize the import of three consignments of Moldovan plums, Info-Prim Neo reports. On its website, Rosselhoznadzor published the list of countries from where Russia imports products of vegetal origin and where bacteria or diseases typical of these products were detected. Moldova is among these countries. Three batches of Moldovan plums weighing 19, 18 and, respectively, 3.85 tonnes were rejected because they would have found the oriental fruit moth (Grapholitha molesta Busck) in them. The list also includes such countries as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Czech Republic, the United States, China, the Netherlands, Uzbekistan, Greece, Spain, and Macedonia, from where the import of beans, peaches, nectarines, corn and several types of flowers was banned. Recently, Rosselhoznadzor authorized 175 Moldovan companies to export fruit, vegetables and grapes to Russia.
