Moldovan Parliamentary delegation attending PACE

A delegation of the Moldovan Parliament, headed by Maria Postoico, vice-speaker of Parliament, participates from June 25 to 29 in the summer session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, taking place in Strasbourg. Among the highlights of the PACE agenda are debates on intercultural and inter-religious dialogue, as well as secret detentions in Europe. Austria's Federal Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer and Hans-Gert Pöttering, the President of the European Parliament will deliver their speeches at the opening of PACE on June 25. PACE will also address issues of prosecution of offences falling within the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, combating anti-Semitism in Europe, Euro-Mediterranean agricultural and rural policy, the honouring of obligations and commitments by Monaco, etc. At the same time, PACE is to elect on June 26 the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe. The Moldovan delegation will include the following Members of Parliament: Valeriu Cosarciuc, Arcadie Pasecinic, and Oleg Tulea.
