Moldovan Olympic Committee designates athletes to represent Moldova in Beijing

At the Beijing Olympics, the Moldovan delegation will have 30 athletes and some 20 coaches and team leaders, Info-Prim Neo reports. The most numerous team is formed of 18 sportspeople who will participate in athletics. The boxers are Veaceslav Gojan, Vitalie Grusac, Petru Caduc and the team leader, Constantin Doltu. In wrestling, Moldova will be represented by Ludmila Cristea, led by – Victor Peicov and Nicolae Ceban, the leader – Serghei Magdaliuc. Two sportsmen, Alexandru Pliuschin and Victor Mironov will run in cycling. Serghei Toma and his coach Ion Neagu, and Veaceslav Manolachi – the team leader will represent Moldova in judo. There also four swimmers, trained by Vladimir Beleacov. Heavy athletics will be represented in heavy lifting by five athletes: Igor Grabucea, Andrei Gutu, Alexandru Dudoglo, Evghenii Bratan and Vadim Vacarciuc. The Olympics in China will take place from 8 to 24 August, 2008.
