Moldovan MPs go to PACE

A delegation of the Parliament of Moldova will take part in the spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) that will take place in Strasbourg on April 23-27. One of the major topics for discussion in the session will be the impact of the Arab Spring and aspects of gender equality between men and women in the Arab states, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the legislative body.
The agenda of the session also includes issues concerning the promotion of active citizenship in Europe, good governance and ethics in the field of sports, protection of the freedom of expression and information on the Internet and online media, the situation of internally displaced people and repatriated people from Northern Caucasus, promotion of appropriate policies on fiscal paradises, provision of decent pensions, and others.
The Moldovan delegation is headed by Deputy Speaker Liliana Palihovich. It also consists of the chairman of the parliamentary commission on foreign policy and European integration Igor Corman, MPs Ana Gutu, Valeriu Ghiletski, Vladimir Voronin, and Grigore Petrenko.
