Moldovan markets will be invaded by imported eggplants

The eggplant growers do not manage to satisfy internal demand and therefore the eggplants will be imported from Romania and Turkey, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the agricultural exchange AGROinform. According to the quoted source, when the harvesting of national eggplants comes to an end, eggplant prices will begin to rise. Last week, the eggplants sold for 6-8 lei a kilogram, depending on the quality and outward appearance. During the next weeks, the supply of cauliflower in the farmers’ markets will grow. The producers started to harvest cauliflower, which gets ripe later than other sorts of cabbage. The cauliflower in the Chisinau markets was sold for 10 lei a kilogram.
