Moldovan man suspected of involvement in raping, killing two women in Russia

A Moldovan man, 28, was arrested by the Russian police on suspicion of being involved, along with a Russian man, in raping and cruelly murdering two female students, both aged 20, in a suburban town of Moscow, the Russian portal lifenews.ru reported. The Moldovan is also being interviewed as a witness in the case after he expressed his willingness to cooperate with the investigation, as his Russian accomplice, who was arrested earlier, puts all the blame on the Moldovan, making inconsistent accounts. It was reported that on July 13 the two women were hitch-hiking after missing the last train. The Russian and the Moldovan stopped to pick them up and drove them to a dilapidated summer camp, where they allegedly raped and murdered them.
