A Moldovan died and another 12 persons from Moldova were hurt in a work accident on a building site in the Russian town Surgut on August 6, IPN reports.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova said the 12 injured Moldovans were admitted to the traumatology medical center of Surgut. Representatives of the Embassy of Moldova in Moscow are permanently in touch with the local authorities of the region and the representative of the employer so as to elucidate the situation and provide the necessary consular assistance.
The embassy set up a hotline - (+7 495) 624 53 53 - that can be used by persons who have relatives working in Surgut town.
