Moldovan judokas learn opponents at Olympic Games

Judoka Denis Vieru will meet Sardor Nurillaev of Uzbekistan at the first stage of the Tokyo Olympics. The winner of this pair will fight against the winner of the encounter between Daniel Cargnin of Brazil and Mohamed Abdelmawgoud of Egypt. The competition in the 66kg class will take place on July 25, IPN reports.

On July 26, Victor Sterpu will compete in the 73 kg class. He will duel Magdiel Estrada of Cuba, who contended in the Olympic Games of 2016.

Among the Moldovan athletes who will compete this week are also archers Alexandra Mârca and Dan Olaru (July 23 and 24), swimmer Tatiana Salcuțan (July 25) and Anna Dulce, shooting, (July 25). The Tokyo Olympics are officially opened today, July 23.
