Fifty-nine Moldovan graduates from abroad will receive monthly stipends of 3000 lei for up to 6 months and informational support in order to return and work home, IPN learned from a press release of the International Organization for Migration's Mission to Moldova.

The best applications have been selected by a joint commission of ILO and the Bureau for Diaspora Relations. “We are confident that such programs can attract and focus the skills and enthusiasm of our youth with studies abroad. The country needs new perspectives and our hope is that these graduates will contribute to building a new, modern, competitive and fair Moldova”, said Ghenadie Cretu, program coordinator at IOM.

In the same context, an event for the mid-term assessment of the program for Moldovan graduates from abroad was organized on December 17. “It's pleasing to see these efforts to encourage us to return home after graduating. The IOM program is more than a simple stipend for me. It offers us informational support to facilitate our employment”, said Ana Efros, beneficiary of the program.

The contest was open for young Moldovans, aged between 18 and 35, with higher education abroad, who wanted to return permanently or temporarily in Moldova and get a job in the private or public sector. Applicants had be abroad at the moment of application or recently returned to Moldova (not earlier than March 1, 2014).
