Eleven Moldovan producers of fresh fruit are taking part in the WorldFood exhibition held in Moscow. Besides the possibility of tasting Moldovan products, Moldova’s exhibition stand provides also a dedicated area for meeting producers, for negotiating new contracts and for interacting, IPN reports.
“The consumers in the Russian Federation and the CIS highly appreciate the quality of the fresh fruit grown in Moldova. We plan to establish new contacts with potential buyers, to better analyze the demand and to identify the most recent market trends and the competitive advantages,” said the executive director of the Association “Moldova Fruct” Iurie Fala.
According to “Moldova Fruct”, the apple harvest this year is expected to be by 10-15% larger than last year. Over 60–70% of the apples grown in Moldova will be exported to the traditional and new markets.
