The National Farmers Federation of Moldova proposed a number of actions as priorities for the Government during the first 100 days in office. The farmers said these measures are imperative and had to be taken during the first year in power of the Alliance for European Integration, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the Federation, the farmers demand modifying the regulations concerning the distribution of the money of the agriculture subsidization fund so that the savings and loan associations can apply for support from this fund. They also ask that ‘young farmers’ should be considered the persons younger than 40, not younger than 30 as now so that more persons are able to benefit from the concessions provided to young people in agriculture.
Among other demands are to immediately pay the compensations for sowing corn and wheat, to set a compensation cap of 400,000 lei per beneficiary, to start the construction of the Chisinau Agrifood Center, capitalize the Agriculture Loan Guarantee Fund to the value of minimum 100 lei, and to increase the agriculture subsidization fund for this year by 500 million lei.
The farmers also ask eliminating all the authorizations, licenses and certificates needed for starting and carrying our entrepreneurial activities, removing all charges for services provided by state institutions and all the barriers to export, including penalties for persons who hinder the economic entities’ right to export in the Penal Code.
Launching a program for continuously re-training the dismissed and unemployed persons and creating conditions for fast employment within announced projects are two more demands.
Prime Minister Iurie Leanca will publicly present the Government’s priorities for the first 100 days in office this week.
