A Moldovan citizen died and seven others were hurt in a road accident that occurred on December 18 in Portugal, on national road 387, Beja region. The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, IPN reports.
“The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Lisbon learned about this case and requested information about the circumstances of the accident from the police station in Beja. Local authorities informed our diplomatic mission that seven citizens of the Republic of Moldova were injured, but are now out of danger, while one Moldovan citizen died,” the Ministry said.
The institution noted that Moldova’s Embassy in Lisbon will provide the consular assistance needed for repatriating the body to the country.
