Regardless of the formulas and bills with amendments to the constitutional article 78, which are based on a number of political decisions, the present Constitution must constitute the basis. The President of the Venice Commission Gianni Buquicchio transmitted such a message in a meeting with the Moldovan delegation held in Strasbourg on May 5, Minister of Justice Alexandru Tanase told Info-Prim Neo. “Moldova will take into account these recommendations. The Venice Commission is an authority in the Council of Europe and its support is very important to us,” Alexandru Tanase said. The Moldovan delegation consists of Acting President Mihai Ghimpu, Minister of Justice Alexandru Tanase and MPs Aurel Baiesu and Ion Plesca. It will return to Chisinau today in the afternoon.
