Discussions will be held within the five specialized commissions. Every commission will discuss a series of reports on security and defense. Specific topics will be debated with representatives of the governments of the member states, academic circles, civil society and NATO. The October 10 plenary meeting will be attended by the President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Karl Engelbrektson, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, and the President of Romania Traian Basescu. The recommendations of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly will be discussed and voted on in the afternoon of the same day.
