Moldovan citizens in Turkey out of danger

The Moldovans affected by the Istanbul floods are out of danger, the Moldovan Foreign Ministry informed, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. In a communique, the Ministry says that the employees of the Moldovan Consulate in Istanbul are permanently in contact with the Turkish authorities and are informed about the situation of the Moldovan citizens affected by the calamity. The Consulate is also monitoring the situation itself. Consular officials traveled to Istanbul and met eight Moldovan truck drivers working on international routes, who remained blocked in the city’s Halkaly region. The drivers are now out of danger. They have been provided with food and drinking water and are helped document the damage caused to the goods and return to Moldova.
