The Moldovan boxers had a remarkable performance at the class A international boxing tournament held in Sofia. All the four pugilists who competed in the 72nd edition of the competition won medals, IPN reports.
Dorin Bucșa (57 kg) and Alexandru Paraschiv (63 kg) won silvers, while Dumitru Galagoț (69 kg) and Andrei Vreme (75 kg) won bronzes. Dorin Bucșa scored three victories, losing in the final to Bulgarian boxer of Cuban origin Javier Ibanes, world and Olympic youth champion. Alexandru Paraschiv in the final was beaten by Olympic youth champion Ilya Popov of Russia.
The squad at the competition in Bulgaria, which involved athletes from 30 countries, was led by Igor Untilă.
