The national team of athletes of Moldova became the winner of the championship of small countries of Europe that was held for the first time in Malta, IPN reports.
The first places were occupied by Natalia Stratulat (discus throw), Alina Kravchenko (100 meters race), Alexandru Babian (400 meters race), Alexandru Krushelnitski (110 meters hurdles) and the quartet Krushelnitski, Babian, Daranuta and Shturmilov (men’s relay).
The competition brought together about 300 athletes from Georgia, Macedonia, San Marino, Albania, Andorra, Kosovo, Gibraltar, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Iceland, Cyprus, Malta, Luxemburg, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro.
