A young Moldovan was arrested at the Chisinau international airport on suspicion that he took part in the armed conflict in Ukraine. Military equipment was found in the man’s baggage, IPN reports.
The Moldovan citizen was identified by the Border Police, in cooperation with the Security and Intelligence Service. While checking the baggage of the man, who arrived by the Moscow – Chisinau flight, the border police found military equipment with distinctive elements showing that he was involved in the military action in eastern Ukraine, in particular in Lugansk region.
The person was taken to the Prosecutor General’s Office that will investigate the circumstances and will take the required legal measures.
