The performance-play "The Vysotsky Odyssey" inspired by the life of Russian poet and singer Vladimir Vysotsky will be premiered at the National Operetta Theater “Ion Dacian" in Bucharest on March 26. A number of Moldovan actors act in the play, Mediafax reports, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The play directed by Alexander Hausvater includes 20 songs created as separate parts. The cast of "The Vysotsky Odyssey” includes Igor Caras and Mihaela Strambeanu who studied in Moscow during the glory days of Vysotsky, Russian-speaking Vitalie Bichir and Natalia Trohin from Moldova, Florentina Tilea who was awarded by UNITER for performance in 2007, Viorel Paunescu, actor at the Metropolis Theater in Bucharest, and Oana Rusu, Silvia Sohterus, Amelia Antoniu, Catalin Petrescu, Matei Nicolescu, Toni Zidaru, soloists at the National Operetta Theater "Ion Dacian". Singer, composer, poet and actor Vladimir Vysotsky (1938 - 1980) enjoyed widespread popularity. During the 70s, the Soviet people bought cassette recorders, which were a rather costly acquisition at that time, to listen to Vysotsky’s songs. The words of many of his songs were known by heart practically by all the people from the USSR.
