The natural gas consumption for October is being recalculated after the Corporate Security Division identified multiple cases of artificial overestimation of natural gas consumption last month, with an internal inquiry being launched to prevent significant financial losses, SA Moldovagaz has said.
The company said it was determined that some of the employees of gas distribution enterprisers, using their position, included tens of thousands of cubic meters of gas in the database and, consequently, in bills, in the financial interests of persons, without those quantities of gas being actually consumed.
The internal inquiry goes on and those to blame will be punished appropriately, IPN reports, quoting the company.
Moldovagaz calls on the consumers to transmit the extract gas meter readings by phone calls, by Viber, ChatBot and Telegram, through the service “Consumer’s Personal Office” or at the head offices of gas distribution enterprisers.
